I'm jumping into the fire here but I agree with Pope Benedict and his rather archane reference to Islam being violent. It is acceptable in Islamic law to beat your wife if you suspect her of disobedience,with or without proof. Also, in Darfur, the murder of 200,000 infidels as they are arrogantly called is ignored by muslims worldwide, where as the remarks by the pope cause outrage. A million people face inihilation by the rebel forces many of them muslim in Sudan..where is the condemnation?!.
Hogwash, absolute Hogwash. Goblin clearly is as bad as the driver of the Jihad Bandwagon, having ignored the rest of the pope's speech. The pope quoted that particular passage in the following sense: he said 'This is what is said about Islam.' then he proceeded to quote the passage, he then said, in effect, so, Islam, what's your answer to this?' i.e. he was promoting an interfaith dialogue.
Goblin has ignored my postings because he is unable to tolerate intellectual argument. He shall therefore be none the wiser, alas.
